Mounting and dismounting
Dismounting bearings itted Fig. 52
on an adapter sleeve Dismounting by tapping a small steel
block with an appropriate hammer
To dismount small bearings itted on an
adapter sleeve and a plain shaft, loosen the
sleeve lock nut a few turns, then use a ham-
mer of suitable size to tap a small steel block
evenly around the bearing inner ring side
face (ig. 52)
For small bearings itted on an adapter
sleeve and a stepped shaft with a spacing
collar between the shoulder and the bearing
side face, loosen the adapter sleeve lock nut
a few turns and apply a couple of sharp
hammer blows to a bearing itting tool abut-
ting the sleeve lock nut (ig. 53)
Using a hydraulic nut for dismounting
bearings itted on an adapter sleeve and a
stepped shaft with a spacing collar makes
bearing dismounting easy However, to use
this method, you should mount a suitable Fig. 53
stop that abuts the piston of the hydraulic Dismounting by a couple of sharp hammer

nut (ig. 54) If the sleeves are provided with blows applied to a bearing itting tool
oil supply ducts and distribution grooves, abutting the sleeve lock nut
dismounting becomes easier because the oil
injection method can be used
